   Mountain guides differ from tour leaders and tour operators, as they are not allowed to offer package holidays, which involves different tax regulations. Nevertheless, there are ways we can plan an individual expedition together. That is why I organise larger trips and expeditions together with the tour operator Exped Tribe, for example for my ski touring trips to Greenland and Japan. Ideally, let's have a phone call to talk about your dream and clarify the organisational and physical details.

2. Mountaineering in foreign countries

   A special adventure that requires not only physical endurance and technical skills, but also cultural sensitivity and adaptability. It allows mountaineers to discover new and fascinating landscapes, often far away from the usual tourist trails. From the snow-covered peaks of the Himalaya to the volcanic heights of the Andes, foreign countries offer a variety of challenges and experiences that make every ascent unique.

   Besides physical preparation, engaging with the local culture is also very important. Respect for the customs and traditions of the local people, who often have a deep connection to the mountains, is essential. Many of these mountains are considered sacred, and following local codes of conduct not only earns the respect of local communities but also contributes to a deeper understanding and a richer experience.

   Finally, mountaineering in foreign countries offers the chance to experience nature in its most original form. The untouched wilderness, the breathtaking views and the feeling of being far away from civilisation make every expedition an unforgettable experience. Despite the challenges of climbing in unknown terrain, it is often these experiences that stay with us most deeply and enrich the soul of an adventurer.
