The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Martin Siefermann, Sternplattenweg 8, 83075 Bad Feilnbach, Germany

2. Summary
- This website uses no statistics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- YouTube videos are only loaded once you consent. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Fonts are loaded locally from our server – there is no connection to Google Fonts.
- There is no contact form and no newsletter. If you write to us or call us, we only use your details to process your enquiry.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by an external hosting provider based in Germany (host). The servers are located in the European Union. When you access the pages, the host automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (server log files): IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system.
This data is technically necessary to display the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The log files are automatically deleted after a short time unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the host.
4. SSL / TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL / TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser's address bar.
5. Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp
If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we process your details (e.g. name, contact details, content of the enquiry) in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a booking or contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required and there are no statutory retention obligations.
For emails we use the Gmail service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. If you use the WhatsApp button, you will be redirected to WhatsApp; the provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. WhatsApp's privacy policy applies. Alternatively, you can reach us at any time by phone or email.
6. Bookings and contract data
To carry out booked tours and courses, we process the data required for this, in particular name, contact details, billing details and information about experience, equipment and – if you provide it – health information relevant to carrying out the tour safely. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, and for health information your consent (Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR).
Where necessary, we pass on data to third parties involved in carrying out the tour (e.g. huts for reservations). We keep documents relevant for invoicing for up to ten years in accordance with tax regulations; all other data is deleted after the tour as soon as it is no longer needed.
7. Cookie settings (local storage)
So that your choice in the cookie notice is retained, we store it in your browser's local storage (entry “vg-consent-v1”). This storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.
8. YouTube videos (only with consent)
We embed videos from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our website. We use the enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video is only loaded when you click on the preview image or consent to the “YouTube” category in the cookie notice. Only then is a connection to YouTube's servers established and your IP address, among other things, transmitted; if you are logged in to YouTube, YouTube can assign the visit to your account.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). Google LLC (USA) is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; there is therefore an adequacy decision by the EU Commission for data transfers to the USA. Further information: Google's privacy policy.
9. Download area
For the password-protected download of equipment lists and tour information, we use Google Apps Script and Google Drive from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you log in to the download area or retrieve a file, the email address and password you enter as well as technical data (e.g. your IP address) are transmitted to Google. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (provision of documents for your booking) or our legitimate interest in secure provision (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Google LLC (USA) is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; there is therefore an adequacy decision by the EU Commission for data transfers to the USA.
10. Links to social networks and external services
On our website we link to Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), to our Google Business Profile, to Google Maps and to WhatsApp. These are simple links, not embedded plugins: no data is transmitted to these providers when you visit our pages. Only when you click on a link do you leave our website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
11. Summit Challenge (game)
The game on our homepage runs entirely in your browser. No personal data is collected, stored or transmitted.
12. Your rights
You have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
Right to object: If processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
Simply contact us by email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling. Providing your data is not required to use the website; however, to book a tour we need the necessary details.
