With spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and many other alpine giants, the Bernese Alps offer an unforgettable adventure for experienced mountaineers.
Itinerary
- Day 1
Ascent to the Hollandia hut.
- Day 2
An exciting first day awaits us. To acclimatise, we climb the Ebnefluh – a wonderful way to get in the mood for the challenges ahead.
- Day 3
Today it gets adventurous: early in the morning we leave the Konkordia hut and tackle the ascent of the Gross Grünhorn. The descent takes us down a steep abseil line onto the glacier, which requires sure-footedness and concentration.
- Day 4
An imposing ridge awaits us on the Finsteraarhorn. The grade III climbing sections test us in the thin air, but the summit experience is worth every effort. We spend another night at the Finsteraarhorn hut and enjoy the alpine peace.
- Day 5
On our way to the Mönchsjoch hut we traverse the Fiescherhorn. If time allows, we also take in the smaller Fiescherhorn summit – a rewarding extension of our tour.
- Day 6
Today the Mönch is on the programme. This rather short tour still offers exciting climbing and a demanding snow ridge. The day also serves as a recovery day to gather strength for the challenges to come.
- Day 7
A classic awaits us: the Jungfrau. Today it's all about pacing ourselves wisely, because this technically demanding tour challenges us once more. After reaching the summit we return to the Hollandia hut, where we let the day come to an end.
- Day 8
After a leisurely breakfast we head back. Across glaciers and hiking trails we return to the car, where our impressive tour through the Bernese Alps ends.
